Day 3 rode back home to Willcox. I stayed off the Interstate, went through Mule Creek to Safford, then via Bonita to Willcox.
Cactus were in full bloom.

It was a fun busy trip, I need to do another ride to see more of this wonderful area. So stay tuned, I am sure there will be  more soon.
Day 2 I rode from Datil, NM to Silver City, NM. More nice scenery and more fun roads. I left Siver City and rody hwy 15 up to the Gila Cliff Dwellings, Now there is a road!!!!

I did not do the hike up to the Dwellings, there were lightning strikes in the area and they had the trail closed. I rode back to Silver City via hwy 35, more great riding and scenery. spent the night in Silver City.
Left last Thursday for a 3 day scooter venture. First day I rode to Pie Town, NM via 191 and 60. It is a beautiful ride up 191 lots of scenery, curves and up and down hills.

Pictures are of the Morenci Mine, This is no small operation, LOL. This is on 191 just before all the sharp curves start.

The 3 pictures above are some of the scenery on 191.

I have been having fun riding. Seems like I just got the scooter a few days ago and already pushing a thousand miles on it. Went to Vail last Saturday and joined up with the Sky Island Riders (SIRS) from Tucson, rode a short distance with them, stopped for lunch and visited. It was fun and I met a few more riders from Tucson.

After lunch I started working my way home via the back roads, Scenic hwy. 83 to Sonoita, then hwy. 82 to Tombstone ( the town that is to tough to die). Made a quick stop for gas (61 MPG). Then took Gleeson Road, a nice curvy and hilly road to hwy. 191. North to Kansas Settlement road, Hold your nose as you pass by the big Dairy Farm. On to hwy. 186 and North into Willcox and home. 280 miles of fun.

Long time no here

Yes it has been a long time. Short version, we spent the summer in Missoula again and loved it.
We are now in Willcox, AZ and looks like we will be here for a while. Enjoying our stay and the good Arizona weather. We have had some cold days and nights but nothing real bad.
I decided since we were going to stay here for a while I needed a new scooter. Soooooooooooooo
I am now the owner of a new Burgman 400 ABS. Since I just picked it up I do not have many miles on it yet. I am really enjoying it.

I put 125 miles on it Wednesday. Then the wind came up, so there it sits all lonely and wanting to run.
Maybe tomorrow, we will see.
Until later take care and God Bless.
